Nursing Diagnoses, Outcomes, and Interventions: NANDA, NOC, and NIC Linkages

This book illustrates links among three of the standardized languages recognized by the American Nurses Association. These languages are the diagnoses developed by the North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA), the outcomes of the Nursing Outcomes Classification (NOC), and the interventions of the Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC). The provision of links among these classifications will facilitate the use of each of the languages in clinical practice and documentation systems as well as in education. The links also provide excellent opportunities for nurse researchers to explore the associations among diagnoses, outcomes, and interventions in conjunction with patient and organizational characteristics that might influence outcome achievement.
