Metamorphoses: art/architecture

Copertina anteriore
L'Arca Edizioni, 2005 - 192 pagine
In this book, a university educational program built around research, study and practice turns into an exercise in design procedure. As part of a research project into how a work of art can be transformed into architecture, students at the Turn Faculty of Architecture analyzed the key concept in play, ranging from aesthetics and structural engineering to Typology and spatial layout. The study, conducted from 1999 to 2004, and enriched by materials produced in workshop in St. Petersburg, was the focus of considerable attention at the recent Venice Biennial of Architecture and resulted in this book.
