Toolkit for Post-Graduate and PhD Supervisors: Utilising Digitalisation to Support Training and Supervision

Hassan Zaiter is a Researcher in the Department of Architecture and Design at Sapienza University of Rome. His work addresses architectural responses to social challenges, with a focus on adaptive reuse of residential buildings, social housing, and energy efficiency. He integrates urban regeneration and architectural technology to foster sustainable and inclusive environments. Since 2017, he has actively contributed to EU-funded projects, with expertise in grant writing, training delivery, and project management.

Francesca Giofrè is an Associate Professor of Technological and Environmental Design in Architecture at Sapienza University of Rome. Her research covers innovation in the design process, urban regeneration, healthy cities, construction processes, universal design, and innovative teaching methodologies. Since 1997, She has authored over 188 publications, coordinated the EU-funded Hurbe project (2018-2021), and is currently a partner in the Aple project (2023-ongoing). She is a member of Sapienza University’s Teaching Quality and Innovation Working Group (GdLQuID).

Niccolò Busca is a Junior Researcher in Strategic Communication of European Projects at Sapienza University of Rome. He joined the DigiGrad Africa Project as project assistant during an internship at the International Research Office, following studies in media processes, audiovisual narratives, and production.

Elisa Gigliarelli is an International Research Officer at Sapienza University of Rome, where she manages European and international projects for scientific research, with a focus on young researchers. She has worked on outreach initiatives for the Universidad de Buenos Aires and with the European Commission DG-INTPA on cooperation programmes with Latin America, specialising in social economy, self-education, and collaborative education.
