The Library has published "Biographical Sketches of American Artists," now in fourth edition, "Preferred List of Pictures for Children and Young People," now in second edition, and a finding list of pictures in its Loan Collecton. This collection consists of approximately 2,500 pictures, of which 480 are framed ; there are also 3,000 small prints, which circulate for use in club work, and 2,000 miscellaneous subjects clipped from magazines and art publications which are mounted and filed.

There are about 7,500 books on the fine arts, 5,500 bound articles, 1,500 large photographs and color prints for reference use, 30,000 prints mounted for circulation, with a reserve collection of 90,000 clippings ready for mounting, 6,500 post cards for use with radiopticon, 2,500 stereographs and 14,500 lantern slides.

Open, free, daily, 9 A.M. to 5 P.M., and Sundays, 2 to 6 P.M. All but 5 paintings belong to the T. B. Walker Collection which has been given to the Minneapolis Public Library. Eighty-five artists are represented by about 100 characteristic paintings. There are also photographs, art glass, oriental porcelain, etc. Attendance averages about 50,000.
