I will guide you to your home, Wea - ry pil-grim, hith - er come." A-men.

"Thou who, houseless, sole, forlorn,

Long hast borne the proud world's scorn,

Long hast roamed the barren waste,

Weary pilgrim, hither haste.

3

"Ye who, tossed on beds of pain,

Seek for ease, but seek in vain;

Ye, by fiercer anguish torn,

In remorse for guilt who mourn;

4

"Hither come, for here is found
Balm that flows for every wound,
Peace that ever shall endure,
Rest eternal, sacred, sure." Amen.

Hark, My Soul! It is the Lord

JOHN BACCHUS DYKES

1. Hark, my soul! it is the Lord, 'Tis thy Saviour, hear His word:

554 b4

Je-sus speaks, and speaks to thee; "Say, poor sin - ner, lov'st thou Me ?" A-men.

2

"I delivered thee when bound,

And, when bleeding, healed thy wound,
Sought thee wandering, set thee right,
Turned thy darkness into light.

3

"Can a woman's tender care

Cease towards the child she bare?

Yes, she may forgetful be;

Yet will I remember thee!

4

"Mine is an unchanging love,

Higher than the heights above,
Deeper than the depths beneath,
Free and faithful, strong as death.

5

"Thou shalt see My glory soon,
When the work of grace is done;
Partner of My Throne shalt be:
Say, poor sinner, lov'st thou Me?"

6

Lord! it is my chief complaint,
That my love is weak and faint;
Yet I love Thee and adore!

O for grace to love Thee more! Amen.

Take up thy cross; let not its weight
Fill thy weak spirit with alarm;

His strength shall bear thy spirit up,
And brace thy heart, and nerve thine arm.

3

Take up thy cross, nor heed the shame,
Nor let thy foolish pride rebel;
Thy Lord for thee the Cross endured,

To save thy soul from death and hell. 4

Take up thy cross then in His strength, And calmly every danger brave;

'Twill guide thee to a better home,
And lead to victory o'er the grave.
5

Take up thy cross, and follow Christ,
Nor think till death to lay it down;
For only he who bears the cross

May hope to wear the glorious crown.
6

To Thee, Great Lord, the One in Three,
All praise for evermore ascend;

O grant us in our home to see

The heavenly life that knows no end. Amen.

Lay down, thou weary one, lay down Thy head up- on My breast."

came to Je - sus as I was,

Weary and worn and sad;

I found in Him a rest-ing-place, And He has made me glad. A-men.

2

I heard the voice of Jesus say,

"Behold, I freely give

The living water: thirsty one,
Stoop down and drink and live."

1 came to Jesus, and I drank

Of that life-giving stream;

My thirst was quenched, my soul revived, And now I live in Him.

3

I heard the voice of Jesus say,
"I am this dark world's Light;
Look unto Me, thy morn shall rise,
And all thy day be bright."

I looked to Jesus, and I found
In Him my star, my sun;

And in that light of life I'll walk
Till traveling days are done. Amen.
