296 O Zion, Haste, Thy Mission High Fulfilling
1. O Zi - on, haste, thy mis-sion high ful - fill - ing, To tell to all the
world that God is Light; That He Who made all na-tions is not will - ing
One soul should per - ish, lost in shades of night: Pub - lish glad ti - dings;
ti - dings of peace; Ti - dings of Je - sus, re-demp-tion and re- lease. A-men.
Proclaim to every people, tongue and nation
That God, in Whom they live and move is Love:
And died on earth that man might live above.
O Zion, Haste, Thy Mission High Fulfilling
Give of thy wealth to speed them on their way,
Make known to every heart His saving grace;
Publish glad tidings; tidings of peace;

299 Through Midnight Gloom from Macedon
Macedon 8 8 8 8 8 8
1. Through midnight gloom from Ma - ce-don, The cry of myriads as
The soul's ex-ceed-ing bit- ter cry, “Come o'er and help us, or we die!” A-men.
How mournfully it echoes on!
And by the whole world's Life they cry, “Oye that live, behold we die!”
4 Yet with that cry from Macedon The very car of Christ rolls on; “I come; who would abide My day
In yonder wilds prepare My way; My voice is crying in their cry; Help ye the dying, lest ye die.”
3 By other sounds the world is won Than that which wails from Macedon; The roar of gain is round it rolled, Or men unto themselves are sold,
And cannot list the alien cry, “O hear and help us, lest we die!”
5 Jesus, for men of Man the Son, Yea, Thine the cry from Macedon; O by the kingdom and the power And glory of Thine Advent hour, Wake heart and will to hear their cry; Help us to help them, lest we die! Amen.
