The Christian Sabbath. 1 AGAIN our weekly labours end, And we the house of pray'r attend ; Improve, my soul, this sacred rest, And learn to be for ever blest. 2 This day may our devotions rise To Heav'n a grateful sacrifice; And Heav'n that peace divine bestow, Which none but they who feel it know. 3 This holy calm within the breast, Prepares for that eternal rest, Which for the sons of God remains, The end of cares, the end of pains. 4 In holy duties let this day 1 2 In holy pleasures pass away; How sweet each sabbath thus to spend, In hope of that which ne'er will end! 13. s. M. Call to Worship. COME, sound His praise abroad, And hymns of glory sing; Jehovah is the Sov'reign God, The universal King.
