Excerpt from A Flora of Leicestershire

Ir is remarkable that the Plants of Leicestershire are unnoticed by Ray, in the Catalogues communicated by him to Bishop Gibson, and subjoined to the enlarged edition of Camden's Bri tannia. The only reference to our county in the second edition of his Synopsis, is the mention of Alectoria jubata, discovered by Petiver, on the highest rocks, Charley Forest.
