A very uncommon issue of the first edition. The binding is the publisher's but differs from the regular issue in being bound in blue cloth and having the device (which does not appear in the ordinary issue) on the front cover, the lettering on the spine and the device on the back cover stamped in white instead of in gilt and blind. Ebert No. 10,135. From the bibliography of the Duc de Rivoli this edition appears to be identical with that of 1505. The woodcuts are interesting, that on page 82 showing a new mode of breaking up a black surface before cross-hatching was practised.

This copy is a LARGE AND CLEAN EXAMPLE, though there are a few small wormholes in places.
