ANTHEMS FOR EASTER-DAY.

HRIST our passover is sacri-ficed for us:
Therefore let us keep the feast;

Not with the old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness:

But with the unleavened bread of sin-cerity and truth. 1 Cor. v. 7.

NHRIST being raised from the dead dieth no more:

CHRIST

For in that he died, he died unto sin once:

But in that he liveth, he liv-eth un-to God.

Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed un-to sin:

But alive unto God through Je-sus Christ our Lord.
Rom. vi. 9.

HRIST is risen from the dead:

And become the first-fruits of them that slept.

For since by man came death:

By man came also the resur-rec-tion of the dead.
For as in Adam all die:

Even so in Christ shall all be made a-live.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son:

And to the Ho-ly Ghost;

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ev-er shall be :
World with-out end.

BENEDICTUS. St. Luke, i. 68.

BLFor he had visited, and

For he hath visited, and re-deemed his people; And hath raised up a mighty sal-va-tion for us:

In the house of his ser-vant David;

As he spake by the mouth of his ho-ly Prophets :
Which have been since the world be-gan;

That we should be saved from our enemies:

And from the hands of all that hate us ;

To perform the mercy promised to our fore-fathers:

And to re-member his ho-ly Covenant ;

To perform the oath which he sware to our fore-father Abraham:

That he would give us ;

That we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies :
Might serve him with-out fear;

In holiness and righteous-ness be-fore him:

All the days of our life.

And thou, Child, shalt be called the Prophet of the Highest: For thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to pre-pare his ways;

To give knowledge of salvation unto his people:

For the re-mis-sion of their sins,

Through the tender mercy of our God:

Whereby the day-spring from on high hath visited us; To give light to them that sit in darkness, and in the shadow of death:

And to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son:

And to the Ho-ly Ghost;

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ev-er shall be :
World with-out end.

JUBILATE DEO. Psalm c.

BE joyful in the Lord, all ye lands:

Serve the Lord with gladness, and come before his pre-sence with a song.

Be ye sure that the Lord he is God:

It is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

O go your way into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise :

Be thankful unto him, and speak good of his Name.

For the Lord is gracious, his mercy is ev-er-lasting :
And his truth endureth from gene-ration to ge-ne-ration.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son:

And to the Ho-ly Ghost;

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ev-er shall be :
World with-out end.
