Colophon: Imprinted at London by Robert Crowley, 1550 A VERY FINE COPY OF THE FIRST ISSUE OF THE FIRST EDITION, with the mis-printed date on the title-page, which error appears to have been corrected with a stamp. A second edition was printed this same year, but without the woodcut title-page. Not more than five editions were printed before the year 1600, all of which are rare, and apart from their value as literary treasures, they are very important, because they contain passages relating to the private lives and practices of the clergy which are suppressed from most of the modern editions. With the E. M. Cox bookplate.
