NOR CAN WE LOCATE ANY SALE OF THE WORK AT AUCTION.

The book is printed in Black Letter, and on the map is an inset view of the Landing in New England. The three plates are fine bits of engraving, one representing a mermaid with outstretched arms to two of the adventurers; another of the settlers Hunting and Hawking, while the last is of a Shipwreck.

The work narrates the first victory over the Indians by the English after the former had learned the use of fire-arms, nearly twenty years having elapsed before the whites gained another such advantage.
