"But though he had done so many John xii. 37miracles before them, yet they believed not on him that the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed? And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine. And when even was come, he went out of the city.
