we may be indeed thy children, and perfect as our Father in heaven is perfect. Amen.

(For all in Authority :) O GOD, thou King of glory, who rulest all the nations of the world, and to whom pertain all might, majesty, and dominion in heaven and earth; we beseech thee to regard with thy favour our Sovereign, Queen Victoria. Endow her with thy Holy Spirit. May she reign in wisdom and righteousness, in peace and prosperity, all the days of her life; and may she afterwards be made partaker of that crown of righteousness, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Make thy blessing to rest, O Lord, upon the Prince Consort, the Prince of Wales, and all the members of the Royal family.

Grant a spirit of wisdom, and of the fear of the Lord, to the Queen's Ministers; to the Members of both Houses of Parliament; and to all Judges, Magistrates, and persons in authority; that we, and all under them, may lead a quiet and peaceable life, in godliness and honesty; showing forth thy praises, who hast

called us out of darkness into thy marvellous light. Amen.

GOD be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us:

That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.

Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.

O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth.

Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.

The earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us.

God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.-Ps. lxvii.

A Thanksgiving.

O GOD, by whose gracious providence we enjoy the good things of this present life, and also all things pertaining to godliness and the life eternal, we, thy unworthy servants, unite

with one heart in rendering thanks and praise unto thy great name.

Enable us, we entreat thee, O Lord, to manifest our gratitude by a willing and constant obedience to thy righteous commands; and by walking, at all times, after the example of him, whom thou didst send into the world to take away its sin, and to make us sons of God, and heirs of immortal life; and who hath taught us, in the spirit of adoption, thus to pray:

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Then a Psalm may be sung.

BENEDICTION.

THE grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.

Second Sunday of the Month.

SK, and it shall be given you; seek, and

ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for every one that asketh, receiveth; and he that seeketh, findeth; and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened.Matt. vii.

THE eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

THE Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.--Ps. xxxiv.

(Invitation :) Brethren, dearly beloved in the Lord, let us draw near to the throne of grace, with reverence and godly fear, in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

A

Let us pray.

INTRODUCTORY PRAYER.

LMIGHTY GOD, who hast promised that in all places where thou dost record thy name, thou wilt meet with thy servants to bless them; fulfil to us at this time thy promise, we beseech thee, and make us joyful in thy house of prayer. Solemnize and purify our minds; raise our hearts to thee; endow us with wisdom and understanding: may we know, believe, and obey thy truth; and let the words of our mouth, and the meditation of our heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, our strength and Redeemer. Amen.

JUDGE me, O Lord, for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the Lord; therefore I shall not slide.

Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.
