another of the days of the Son of man upon the earth; to unite with thy Church militant in calling upon thy name, and learning the way of eternal life. Amen.

MAY we receive of thee, almighty and most merciful Father, to the glory of thy grace and the relief of our necessity, those things which we have faithfully asked in the name of thy Son our Lord: Yea, do thou bestow upon us such things as thou knowest to be good for us, whether we ask them or not; for giving doth not impoverish thee, neither doth withholding enrich thee, and we know not what things we should pray for as we ought.

Let all our iniquities be blotted out and do thou give us humble and pure, teachable and obedient hearts: that whatever we have learned of thy truth and our duty, that we may hold. fast and diligently perform all our days: through Jesus Christ our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

(For Redemption :) GRANT, we beseech thee, Almighty God, that through faith in thy Son

Jesus Christ, who, at his first coming, died in the flesh to take away the sin of the world, our souls may be delivered from their pollution and guilt; that when he shall appear the second time in glory, our corruptible bodies may put on incorruption, and our mortal flesh be clothed with immortality; that as we have borne the image of the earthly, we may also bear the image of the heavenly; and be made partakers of that eternal kingdom which flesh and blood shall not inherit. And this we ask in his name, who was dead, and liveth for evermore, Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.

(For Help and Deliverance :) WE beseech thee, O Lord, who knowest that we have no power of ourselves to help or deliver us, in those dangers and temptations which beset us in this our pilgrimage, that thou wouldst be our defence and deliverer, and a high tower to save us. Let our faith and hope be in thee: and do thou, who workest effectually in them that believe, make us perfect in every good word and work. Amen.

INTERCESSION.

(For the World and for the Church :) O GOD, the Creator and Preserver of all men, we pray thee to send forth into all lands the light of thy truth; and grant that all men may receive it in faith and love; that their spirits may be saved in the day of the Lord.

More especially we pray for the whole estate of Christ's Church upon earth; that all who make profession of his religion, may be fully instructed in that doctrine which is according to godliness; and, being delivered from superstition and impiety, from heresies and schisms, from love of the world, from slavery to the flesh and the devil, may they be united in the bonds of peace and love, and, by all righteous and holy living, make their calling and election sure to thy glory and praise, through Jesus Christ. Amen.

WE commit ourselves, and all our friends, kindred, and benefactors, and all who have desired to be remembered in our prayers, to thy mercy and grace, and to the keeping of thy good providence, O Lord our God.

Grant unto them and us, that which is needful for the present life, and with it bestow thy blessing. Enrich us with patience and resignation, with cheerfulness and fortitude; and teach us, in whatever state we are, therewith to be content.

Cleanse our souls with the presence of thy good and Holy Spirit: beautify them with the ornaments of thy grace: sanctify us wholly, in spirit, soul, and body and preserve us blameless to the coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

THOU shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterwards receive me to glory.

MERCIFULLY receive our prayers, through thy well-beloved Son, Jesus Christ, who hath

Thy will
