The editor hopes that not much will be found, that even suspicion itself can imagine was introduced merely for the purpose of swelling the volume-The Doctor's manner is so striking in all, that no one acquainted with his writings, will doubt that the whole has proceeded from his pen. A more suitable arrangement of the pieces would have been made, if they had all been obtained at once; but while some were in the press, others were to be sought for at many milęs distance.
