Vol 1. is dated 1739, and contains the History of the Bishops, with a table of contents. Prefixed are John Parry's Dedication to Sir James Ware, in English: Verses, Latin and English, by William Limerick. 3 pp. Additions and corrections. 1 page. Preface by Walter Harris, dated October 20, 1739. 2 pages. Antiquities, chap. xvi, of the Antient Disposition of the Bishopricks of Ireland, 2 pages. The same Dedication by John Parry, in Latin. 2 pages.

In vols. 2 and 3, otherwise called vol. 2, pt. 1 and 2, the title is the History and Antiquities of Ireland, illustrated with cuts of ancient medals, urns, &c. Also the Canons, Nuns, Templars, Monks, Friars, and Hermits, in their proper dresses, engraven on twenty-one large copperplates. With the history of the writers of Ireland, in two books, viz.-I. Such writers who were born in that kingdom. And II. Suck who, though foreigners, enjoyed preferments or offices there, or had their education in it; with an account of all the works they published. Written in Latin by Sir James Ware, Knight; newly translated into English, revised and improved, with many material additions, and continued down to the beginning of the present century. By Walter Harris, Esq.'

Both these parts are dated 1764, but, according to Bohn's catalogue, the first of them was published in 1745, and only pt. 2, or vol. 3, completing the work, was published in 1764, when new titles were substituted for the whole. There is in the last page of vol. 1. an advertisement, in which vol. 2 is announced as ' now in "the press. This is the only edition of Ware's works, by Walter Harris.
