Would that we had the Faith to look up from every trying circumstance, from every fretting worry, from every annoyance and temptation, into the face of our guide, and say: "It is the right way.

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the Faith, prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? -2 Cor. 13:5.

THE HELPFUL THOUGHT

Be sure of God, with simple loving worship, by continual obedience, by purifying yourself even as He is pure, creep close, keep

close to Him. Be sure of God and nothing can overthrow or drown you

Nature is beautiful and fellow men are dear, and duty is close beside us, and He is over us and in us. What more do we want except to be more thankful and more Faithful and more worthy of the tasks and privileges He has given us.

-Sydney Smith.

The life which I now live in the flesh I live by the Faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. -Gal. 2: 20.

THE HELPFUL THOUGHT

Faith exalts in our time even the kinship which it beholds between God and man, and well it may. An essential community of being between divinity and humanity is the great postulate of a reasonable religion. All knowledge of God, all profound trust, and all intelligent worship must depend upon the assumption that men are the children of the infinite.
