Something about Ourselves,

For eighteen years we have been actively engaged collecting and selling Americana. During that period many of the rarer works and nearly all of the commoner items have passed through our hands. At no one time have we had in stock so large and varied an assortment of desirable Americana as now, due to the fact that we have recently purchased two large private collections entire. All works mentioned in this catalogue (are now on our shelves, but in most cases, as we have but a single copy, an early order is desirable.

Our Aim.

Our purpose has always been to keep on hand out-of-print "working books" of recognized value at reasonable prices. An examination of this catalogue will convince the reader that this collection is first and above all a "working collection." While rarities are found on nearly every page they are valuable not only as rarities but for their historical importance as well. The public library or historical society cannot satisfactorily fill the wants of their historical readers unless they can supply them with these "tools" of research, and a chance is here offered at a lower price than will be possible later on, to strengthen this most important part of an American library large or small. It would be impossible to mention in detail all the desirable items as this would include nearly the entire catalogue. The following is a partial list selected at random:
