When we tread the verge of Jordan, Bear us through the o'erwhelming torrent, Songs of praises We will ever give to Thee. 227 LOR ORD, we thank Thee for the pleasure The inestimable treasure Of a soul that ever lives; For the thrill, the leap, the gladness Which, to heal our sin and blindness, Teach us so our days to number 228 FATHER, hear the prayer we offer; Not for ever in green pastures Not for ever by still waters Be our strength in hours of weakness, 229 THOU in all Thy might so far, Beyond the range of sun and star, What heart can comprehend Thy Name, Yet though I know Thee but in part, And dearer than all things I know That makes the darkest way I go |
