MISS ANNIE MCKEE (Student 1917-18), is doing Government work in Washington, D. C.

MISS ADA G. JAMES (Artistic D. '14), is doing entertainment work overseas among the American soldiers for the National War Work Council of the Young Men's Christian Association of the United States.

MISS ETHEL FLETCHER, A.B. (G.C.D. '15), is in the Home Service Department of Metropolitan Chapter of the Red Cross, Brookline, Mass.

GEORGE H. FRENGER (G.C.D. '11), with the American Expeditionary Forces' Social Department of the Y. M. C. A., in London is director of a large area comprising some thirty camps, and is finding much interesting work to do for the boys in way of entertainments, motion pictures, and lectures, and hospitality for men on leave.

MISS MARGUERITE JONES (G.C.D. '16), is engaged in Y. W. C. A. war work. In the Sunday Herald of Oct. 20, a photo appeared of Miss Jones in the summer uniform of the Blue Triangle.

MRS. HORTENSE JACOBS HARMON (T.D. '13), is doing canteen work in Boston. Her home address is now 249 Moraine St., Brockton, Mass.

MISS AMY JOHNSON (T.D. '18), is interested in war work, taking active art in the last Liberty Loan Campaign making speeches at Galva, Ill.

LIEUT. H. D. KITSON, Ph.D. (Summer '16), has been "overseas" since May, 1918.

LEONARD JONES (Summer '15-'16), of Marshall, Texas, has been in the service for the past six months.

MISS ETHEL P. POTTER (T.D. '16), is Recreation Leader in Government Hospital Number 7, Roland Park, Baltimore, Md., a hospital for blind soldiers, sailors and marines. Her work is reconstructive, and the re-education of men who offered their lives to their country.

HAROLD B. GILES (Student '17-'18), has been in France since June with the 301st Ammunition Train.

PROF. A. T. BELKNAP, Dept of English in Franklin College, Ind. (Special Student, 1901) serving as camp secretary with the Army Y. M. C. A. at Madison, Wis., writes: "This summer one of my numerous duties was to 'call the mail' and I discovered it was a matter of comment among the men that my voice never failed me in spite of the exceptional strain upon it."

word to every graduate, pupil and friend of the School and tell them what they are missing by not attending your Summer Courses. They are the means not only of keeping us up to the minute in our work but they also serve as a source of a wonderful amount of inspiration and enthusiasm.

A Summer term student writes: "I have studied under many able teachers, but under none whose insight into the needs of each student was so quick and so unerring as yours, or who was so willing to give of his own time and rich experience just the help each individual case called for."

JOSEPHINE MCARTHUR CROWELL (G.C.D. '05) of Waterville, Maine, who has been so well received when called upon to speak on the Liberty Loan, Red Cross and other war activities says: "Nothing helps more than that law so often enunciated 'Impression precedes expression.' If I had got nothing else than that one great principle of Impression, I should forever be grateful to you and the School."

Platform Notes.

MISS BERTHA EVERETT MORGAN (Artist.D. '08), is this season reading "General Post," an English comedy. Miss Morgan is also filling engagements with the Lotus Quartette, as well as continuing her teaching at Abbot Academy, Andover, Mass.

MRS. EDWARD FULTON (nee Una Colquit, G.C.D. '04), instructor in Dramatic Art, had charge of the Commencement program at the Academy of Mary Immaculate, Sisters of St. Mary, Wichita Falls, Texas.

MRS. RANDOLPH JAQUES (nee Kathleen Harper, P.R.D. '12), told the story of "Polly of the Circus" at the Soldiers entertainment given at the Grand Opera House, Macon, Ga.

MISS MARTHA MAI MCKNIGHT (P.R.D. '15), is in Chautauqua work as Junior Supervisor for the Lincoln System.

MRS. JOHN C. FETZER (Chicago '16-Boston '16-'17), appeared in recital in High School Auditorium, Chicago, under the auspices of the St. Charles Woman's Club, in a three-act play "The Shepherd," at the Ravenswood Woman's Club, and gave a group of patriotic selections for the benefit of the Red Cross at the Sandwich opera house.

MISS DAISY DEAN GRAY (T.D. '14), was author and dramatic director of an Easter pageant, "The Crucifixion and the Resurrection," presented at Meridian College, Meridian, Miss. WILLA FAISON MIDDLETON (G.D. '07), directed the pageant "The Fire Regained," given on the college campus of the Mississippi Synodical College at Holly Springs, Miss.

MISS HORTENSE NIELSEN (Dramatic '16), appeared in an impersonation of "A Doll's House," by Henrik Ibsen, in a recital for the interest of various kinds of war work given at Irving Studio, on Sept. 11th.

MRS. ELIZABETH MARTINA TABER (T.D. '16), is reading for Woman's clubs, drawing-room assemblies and D. A. R. Chapters. Her address is 599 Columbus Ave., Boston, Mass.

MRS. NINA OSCHMAN POTTER (T.D. '12), read the comedy "Baby Mine," at the Newdall Opera House, and in September presented "Daddy Long Legs," under the auspices of The State Mutual Improvement Association, Rexberg, Idaho.

PROF. CHARLES H. PATTERSON (Student), a member of the faculty in English at the Masachusetts Agricultural College, Amherst, in addition to his public readings during the college terms, has read a series of Shakespearean plays at the Summer School of West Virginia University.

MISS FLORENCE CUNNINGHAM (G.C.D. '15), directed the six plays produced at the Playhouse on the Moors at Gloucester, the past summer. The first performance included, "Land of Heart's Desire," "Two Crooks and a Lady." "Neighbors." "The Makers of Dreams," "The Bank Account," "Suppressed Desires," a Freudian comedy by George Cram Cook and Susan Glaspell were given at the second performance.

MISS JANE DOUGLAS CRAWFORD (P.R.D. '17), of Baylor College, Belton, Texas, directed a Thanksgiving service, presented by the college grils, the proceeds used for the benefit of the Red Cross.
