ALUMNI NEWS AND NOTES

Muriel Shirriff (P.R.D. '23), will teach in the Provincial Normal School, Winnipeg, Manitoba, next year.

Clyde Russell (Summer '20), who has been teaching for two years in the Mississippi Synodical College, is this year working for her degree at the University of Chattanooga.

Henrietta Fetzer (Phil.D. '22), is a student in the University of Chicago. She is a member of the University Dramatic Club, and is in charge of the Woman's Speaker Club on the campus.

Frances Shannon-Duncan (G.C. '22), is teaching at Kentucky Wesleyan, Lexington, Ky.

Constance Hammock (Dram.D. '23), has since the holidays, accepted a position as instructor in Latin and French in the College of Marshall, Marshall, Texas.

Grace K. Mays (G.C. '12), continues her work as Director of Physical Training and Athletics, at Judson College, Marion, Ala.

Mrs. Dorothea Parker (nee Dorothea Fuller, G.C. '20), has opened a studio at her home, 6 Hamilton Road, Brookline, Mass. She is conducting classes in story telling and children's classes, besides giving private lessons.

Irving Chatterton (T.D. '16), is Instructor in Salesmanship in the Commercial High School, Providence, R. I.

Bessie M. Adams (T.D. '23), is teacher of Expression at Oxford College, Oxford, Ohio.

Edwin N. C. Barnes (Student '00), is Director of Music in the Public Schools of the District of Columbia; Lecturer on Public School Music and Music Appreciation at the Washington College of Music and Trinity College for Women. He is also Editor of Music Education.

We are in receipt of the program of an operetta, "Little Almond Eyes," presented by the Orlando (Florida) High School Glee Club, under the direction of Mrs. F. T. Bergstrom (G.C. '20).

▷ Mary E. Latimer (P.R.D. '20), who is an Instructor in Baylor College, Belton, Texas, is doing a great deal of reading in Texas.

Clara E. Kuck (P.R.D. '21), is conducting a Studio at 415 Ness Building, Salt Lake City, Utah. She is also teaching in the High School of that city.

Bathsheba Askowith (Student '11-'13), who organized the Askowith Players, presented in Boston two oriental plays last spring- The Crimson Camellia," by Kjunihiko Nambu, and Chitra," by Rabindranath Tagore. This winter Miss Askowith is travelling with Eleanora Duse.

Mary Hunt Thayer (G.C. '12), organized and conducted a private party to South America, during the summer of 1923.

Florence Slack (Student '04), conducted a private party to Europe last summer, and will conduct a similar tour the coming summer.

Miss M. C. Hutchinson (T.D. '19), is instructor in Public Speaking at Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Ind.

Miss Albena Pallett (Dram.D. '22), is doing studio work in Toronto, Canada.

Arlene Folkins (Org. Gym. Certif. '17), is Instructor at the Posse School of Gymnastics, Boston.

Olivia Hobgood (P.R.D. '20), is taking courses at Columbia University, for her Master's Degree.

Bertha Teague (T.D. '23), is studying at Boston University, and taking special work in the School of Expression.

Ruth Rogers (G.C. '15), is one of the Assistants to Mary Hollingsworth (G.C. '15) in the Expression Department at the State College for Women, Tallahassee, Fla.

Mary McDonough (P.R.D. '22), is spending the winter in Paris.

Mary Love Babington (P.R.D. '23), is substituting for Elba Henninger (T.D. '21) at the Woman's College, Greenville, S. C. Miss Henninger is ill with appendicitis.

Agnes Ruth Hoffinger (T.D. '21), has returned to the School to complete her Teacher's Diploma course.

Margie Walle Jennings (T.D. '08), went the first of January to Little Rock, Ark., to conduct Miss Iris Armstrong's School. Miss Armstrong (G.C. '13), has gone to Australia for a three months' vacation trip.

From Una Colquitt Fulton (G.C. '04), we receive the following: “I have a large department in Expression, employing three assistants. Besides this I direct the Community Theatre and help in Civic improvements. All this would have been impossible without the instruction and inspiration received at the School of Expression years ago." Her address is 1400 Polk Street, Wichita Falls, Texas.

Elizabeth Stahr Halsell (T.D. '23), who, with her husband, has been in Boston for a few weeks, sailed this week for Panama, where her husband will be on duty as Ensign on the U.S.S. Denver.

Florence Holt (T.D. '15), Org. Gym. Certif. '15, has opened a Studio at her home, 40 Firglade Ave., Providence, R. I.

Raymond Mellen (Summer '20), is a student at Boston University. L. Louise Smith (G.C. '10), has charge of the Department of the Deaf, in the public schools of Memphis, Tenn.

Mildred McConnell (G.C. '12), is teacher of Expression in the Illinois Normal University, Normal, Ill.

Wilma Lyon (P.R.D. '23), has opened a Studio at her home, 521 King's Highway, Shreveport, La.

Claudia Potter (T.D. '22), is an Instructor in the Perkins Institution for the Blind, Watertown. She is also taking special work in the School of Expression.

Miss Florence Lutz, Dean of the School of Expression, will read at Wellesley College, under the auspices of the Department of Reading and Speaking, on the evening of February fifteenth. On February twelfth she
