[The rarest, the most interesting, and the most important

item connected with Thackeray and his career. To the failure of this paper, and Thackeray's consequent impoverishment, we owe his transformation from a man of fortune and dilettanti writer for newspapers and magazines, into the famous novelist who enriched our literature with several of its brightest ornaments. Besides investing his fortune in the paper, Thackeray was from the first its Paris Correspondent, and contributed to its pages the large number of forty-four extremely interesting letters signed T. T. In addition to these it is practically certain that most of the literary and art critiques and notices were by him, and the farewell address in the last number, on July 1, 1837, could have come from no other pen.-Catalogue.] 4301 Thesaurus Cornucopiæ et Horti Adonidis, Græcè (digest. per Guarinum Camertem, Aug.
