O Holy Father, Who hast led Thy children

In all the ages, with the fire and cloud,

Through seas dry-shod; through weary wastes bewildering;
To Thee, in reverent love, our hearts are bowed.

3

O Holy Jesus, Prince of peace and Saviour,
To Thee we owe the peace that still prevails,
Stilling the rude wills of men's wild behavior,
And calming passion's fierce and stormy gales.

O Holy Ghost, the Lord and the life-giver,

Thine is the quickening power that gives increase:
From Thee have flowed, as from a pleasant river,
Our plenty, wealth, prosperity, and peace.

5

O Triune God, with heart and voice adoring,
Praise we the goodness that doth crown our days;
Pray we, that Thou wilt hear us, still imploring
Thy love and favor, keep to us always. Amen.

O God of God! O Light of Light

Be hon-or,might; all by Him won; Glory and praise! A - men, A-men. Amen.

2

Deep in the prophets' sacred page,
Grand in the poets' wingèd word,
Slowly in type, from age to age,

Nations beheld their coming Lord;
Till through the deep Judean night
Rang out the song "Good-will to men!"
Hymned by the first-born sons of light,
Re-echoed now, "Good-will!" Amen.

3

That life of truth, those deeds of love,
That death of pain, 'mid hate and scorn;
These all are past, and now above,

He reigns our King! once crowned with thorn.
Lift up your heads, ye heavenly gates;
So sang His hosts, unheard by men;
Lift up your heads, for you He waits,
We lift them up! Amen, Amen!

4

Sing to the Lord a glorious song,

Sing to His name, His love forth tell;
Sing on, heaven's hosts, His praise prolong;
Sing, ye who now on earth do dwell;
Worthy the Lamb for sinners slain,

From angels, praise; and thanks from men;
Worthy the Lamb, enthroned to reign,
Glory and power! Amen, Amen! Amen.
