query regarding this book is, was there ever a FIRST EDITION? Mr. Heckscher, who for many years was an ardent collector of sporting books, was never able to procure a copy of the first edition; also, another old-time collector, to whom we mentioned this copy, says that he has never seen or heard of the existence of the first edition.

An unusual feature of this is that the remarques are ALL EXECUTED BY HOWARD PYLE, instead of the etcher.
