The Passive Voice of a Verb of Action is used when the object of the action is made the subject of the sentence. Thus a simple sentence of the form Deus mundum gubernat may be thrown into another shape by putting the verb in the passive, and changing the object of the action into the subject of the sentence, thus Mundus a Deo gubernatur. |
