This interesting manuscript is neatly written on about a thousand pages, with index. There are numerous illustrations, skilfully and neatly executed in ink and wash. A large part of the manuscript deals with objects of naval interest, boats, anchors, ropes, rigging, sails, and the like; but there are also drawings of minerals, statuary, and objets d'art.

A unique item in excellent condition.

An exceedingly pretty manuscript, written by the Abbé De Perez [Perey?] and presented by him to the Duchess of Northumberland. In a long letter to the recipient the author states that he got the idea of the title from Marmontel. He hopes the Duchess will see the hidden meaning of the story, and trusts that she will be interested in it.

A very delightful crayon drawing, heightened with water-colour, of a pastoral subject, forms the frontispiece of this unique and pleasant volume.
