The preface of the first vol. of New Series states that the publication was discontinued for 32 years (1863-1894). This set, with the exception of the two missing numbers, is a compelete run, from the first number printed in 1853, down to and including the last number of Vol. 12 of the New Series. FINE SET. A valuable historical work. Contains description of the County of Westmeath, Ancient Irish Laws, Round Towers of Ireland, Irish Festivals and Customs, Ancient Brehon Laws, Feudal System, Gypsy Language, Ancient Implements, Ornaments of Gold and Silver, Ogham Inscriptions, Grave Cairns, etc.
