Leb Special Conditions 1. All bids to be per LOT as numbered in the Catalogue. 2. The highest bidder to be the buyer; in all cases of disputed bids the lot shall be resold, but the Auctioneer will use his judgment as to the good faith of all claims and his decision shall be final. 3. Buyers to give their names and addresses and to make such cash payments on account as may be required, in default of which the lots purchased to be resold immediately. 4. All books, autographs, manuscripts, and other property will be sold as catalogued and without recourse. The utmost care has been taken in preparing the Catalogue, but this Company will not be responsible for errors, omissions, or defects of any kind. 5. TERMS. Owing to the urgent need of relief in Belgium and in order that there may be no delay on the part of the Authors Club in making its remittance, the terms of this sale are Cash on delivery of the goods, and all purchases must be accepted, removed, and paid for on or before May 27, 1915. No exception whatever will be made to this rule, and this Company will not be responsible for goods lost, damaged, stolen, or destroyed after that day. Where goods are to be packed and shipped, this Company will make a charge to cover actual disbursements only, but will not assume any liability for the acts of packers and shippers. 6. BIDS. We make no charge for executing orders for our customers and use all bids competitively, buying at the lowest price permitted by other bids.
