¶ BARHAM (Rev. H.) A.L.S., from the Rev. H. Barham, Author of the "Ingoldsby Legends," 54 lines, dated July 10th, 1843 15s. Very slightly damaged. An interesting letter.

¶ BECKFORD (Wm.) 13 Autograph Letters (2 4to.), from Wm. Beckford mostly to H. E. Goodridge, signed W. B., average length. of 20 lines, some dated 1836. £2 2s. ¶BERRY (Duchesse de, fille de François I.). A.L.S., dated Xbre. 6, 1832, from the Chateau de Blaye, where she was imprisoned. 14 lines addressed to Monsieur Bossange.

¶ BETHLEM HOSPITAL.-Signed Verses of 14 lines on " Epitaph of my poor Jack Squirrel" and 6 lines on a similar subject, written and signed by James Hadfield in Bethlem Hospital. Hadfield was tried and acquitted on the ground of insanity of a charge of firing a pistol at King George III. from the Pit of the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, in 1800. Curious.
