This photograph shows the second room in our Margaret Street premises. In the background is the entrance to the Long Room (17th and 18th Century Books). The basement houses the publishing department, and the farther rooms downstairs are storerooms for sets and runs of the publications of the learned and scientific societies.

The first floor is devoted entirely to the Natural History department, where is shown one of the largest collections in the world of books on Botany, Ornithology, Geology, Agriculture, etc.
