Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness.

And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace.

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. Eph. 6: 10, 11, 13-15, 18.

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.-Rom. 8:31, 37.

The Child's Cry In Trouble and the Father's Answer By Comfort

Behold, O Lord; for I am in distress.-Lam.

I: 20.

I, even I, am He that comforteth you.-Isa. 51:12.

I will speak in the anguish of my spirit.—Job

7:11.

He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him.-Psa. 91:15.

Have mercy upon me, O Lord; consider my trouble.-Psa. 9:13.

As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you.-Isa. 66: 13.

My soul refused to be comforted.—Psa. 77: 2. Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.-2 Thess. 2: 16, 17.

I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another comforter, that He may abide with you for ever.-John 14:16.

All thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.—Psa. 42:7.

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort.—2 Cor. 1:3.

In the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast. —Psa. 57: I.

The shadow of a great rock in a weary land. -Isa. 32:2.

They that dwell under His shadow shall return.-Hosea 14:7.

Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low.-Psa. 142: 6.

Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem.-Isa. 40: I, 2.

Let thy tender mercies speedily prevent us; for we are brought very low.—Psa. 79:8. The ransomed of the Lord shall return and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.-Isa. 35: 10.

Give me help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.-Psa. 108: 12.

Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee.-Psa. 55:22.

Will the Lord cast me off for ever? and will He be favorable no more?-Psa. 77:7.

The Lord will not cast off for ever; but though He cause grief, yet will He have compassion according to the multitude of His mercies.-Lam. 3:31, 32.

O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from Me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as Thou wilt.-Matt. 26: 39.

Casting all your care upon Him; for he careth for you.-1 Peter 5:7.

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.-John 14:26.

From the end of the earth will I cry unto

Thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. -Psa. 61:2.

Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the Lord hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.-Isa.

given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?—Luke 11: 9, 10-13.

Is his mercy clean gone for ever? doth his promise fail for evermore? Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies?-Psa. 77: 8, 9.

The Lord shall comfort Zion: He will comfort all her waste places; and He will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.-Isa. 51:3.
