3 "Spread for thee, the festal board
4 "Soon the days of life shall end;
To the realms of endless day,
Come and welcome, sinner, come."
1 WEARY sinner, keep thine eyes
View him bleeding on the tree,
2 Cast thy guilty soul on him;
None excluded from Hope.
1 JESUS, thy blessings are not few,
Thy grace can melt the stubborn Jew,
2 Wide as the reach of Satan's rage
"Tis not confined to sex or age,
3 While grace is offered to the prince,
4 Come, all ye vilest sinners, come;
5 His doctrine is almighty love;
To turn the raven to a dove,
1 WEEPING sinners, dry your tears;
2 Peace he brings you by his death,
The Gospel Trumpet.
1 YE trembling captives, hear;
2 'Tis not the trump of war,
3 Forgiveness, love, and peace,
4 Far, far, to distant lands
The saving news shall spread,
The Spirit inviting.
1 THE Spirit, in our hearts,
Is whispering, "Sinner, come;"
2 Let him that heareth say
To all about him, "Come;"
Let him that thirsts for righteousness
3 Yes, whosoever will,
O, let him freely come,
And freely drink the stream of life;
4 Lo! Jesus, who invites,
Declares, "I quickly come :
Lord, even so; we wait thy hour;
Returning to Christ.
1 YE sons of earth, arise,
Redeem the time-be bold-be wise,
And cast your bonds away.
2 The year of gospel grace
With us rejoice to see,
And thankfully in Christ embrace
3 Blest Saviour, Lord of all,
Thee help us to receive;
4 Our former years misspent
The Invitation and the Resolve.
1 COME, weary sinner, in whose breast
Come, with your guilt and fear oppressed,
2 "I'll go to Jesus, though my sin
3 "I'll prostrate lie before his throne,
4 "I'll to the gracious King approach,
5 "Perhaps he will admit my plea,
6 "I can but perish if I go;
ENTREATY AND EXPOSTULATION.
HYMNS OF ZION.
The Saviour at the Door.
1 AMAZING sight! the Saviour stands
Ten thousand blessings in his hands,
2 "Behold," he saith, "I bleed and die
Hear, sinners, while I'm passing by,
3 "Will you despise my bleeding love,
4 "Say, will you hear my gracious voice,
Or will you make that wretched choice,
Now the accepted Time.
1 NOW is th' accepted time;
Now is the day of grace;
Now, sinners, come, without delay,
2 Now is th' accepted time;
And feast them with thy love;
