BE IT REMEMBERED, That on the 11th day of October, in the fortieth year of the Independence of the United States of America, PHILIP MILLEDOLER, S. S. WOODHULL, and STEPHEN N. ROWAN, have deposited in this office the title of a book, the right whereof they claim as Proprietors, in trust, for the General Synod of the Reformed Dutch Church in the United-States, in the words and figures following, to wit:
"The Constitution of the Reformed Dutch Church in the UnitedStates of America: with an Appendix, containing Rules and Orders of the General Synod, from 1794 to 1815."
In conformity to the act of the Congress of the United-States, entitled, "An Act for the encouragement of learning, by securing the copies of maps, charts, and books, to the Authors and Proprietors of such copies during the times therein mentioned," and also to an act, entitled, "An act, supplementary to an act, entitled An act, for the encouragement of learning, by securing the copies of maps, charts, and books, to the Authors and Proprietors of such copies during the times therein mentioned, and extending the benefits thereof to the arts of designing, engraying, and etching historical and other prints."

EXTRACT FROM THE MINUTES OF
"Resolved, That the Rev. STEPHEN N. ROWAN, SELAH S. WOODHULL, and Dr. PHILIP MIlledoler, be, and they are hereby appointed a Committee, to contract with a Printer to publish, under their inspection, a new edition of the Constitution and Explanatory Articles of the Reformed Protestant Dutch Church, with an Appendix, containing the Acts and Proceedings of the General Synod ; amending or altering any of the Rules of Church Government; as well as all additional Rules and Orders now in force."
WE CERTIFY, That this Book has been published under our inspection, agreeably to the above order of
