* 104 unnumbered leaves. Signatures A-N (in eight). PRINTED UPON VELLUM. A very fine copy of this extremely rare edition, and with all the woodcuts and borders free from color. To find a copy in such perfect condition is very difficult, as the majority of the books of this class were colored by hand so as to make them resemble, as closely as possible, the manuscript missals of the time. When this work was performed by skilful artists it added to the brilliant appearance of the volBut as a rule the colorists were inferior, at this period, to the engravers; and the spirited woodcuts, in their original state, will always present a greater attraction to the book-lover and to artist.
