1. Atheism and Pantheism may be regarded as hypotheses to help men out of the difficulties of Theism; state some of these difficulties, and show that the hypotheses in question involve greater difficulties than those which they attempt to solve.

2. Professor Mansel traces the difficulties of Theism to their origin, and proves that they are not peculiar to Religion?

3. To what does the utmost deficiency chargeable against human reason amount, as regards its knowledge of God? Does this affect our religious responsibility?

4. It has been objected by Socinians that men are required by the Church to believe certain doctrines, on peril of damnation, and yet that these doctrines are described by the Church herself as incomprehensible mysteries. How is this answered?
