A MORMON ITEM OF EXTREME SCARCITY, NOT MENTIONED IN SAMPSON'S BIBLIOGRAPHY OF MISSOURI.

This is the story of David Whitmer, one of the three witnesses to the Divine authenticity of the Book of Mormon, written by him when a very old man. He gives information about the early days at Independence, to be found in no other source, and a full account of the details of printing the book of "Doctrines and Covenants' at Zion (Independence) in 1833, about the origin of which there has been considerable discussion.
